Hi all, my name is April! *Bows with a dramatic flourish* So nice to make your acquaintance. I’ve joined this here crew as costume designer and general helping hand and I am so incredibly excited! I love to sing, dance, eat all the food, speak in fun accents, crochet, draw, and hang out with my cats. With a Bachelor of Education in teaching creative arts under my belt, I guess you could say I am now a CERTIFIED drama geek!! 

While my chosen quote may not seem to have any direct connection to theatre - this is one of my favorites and reminds me of what drew me to theatre in the first place. I used to be so incredibly nervous to get up in front of people and to allow myself to take up space, but being able to transform into another character, collaborate with a team, and tell silly stories that make people smile gave me this immediate sense of belonging and joy that is so unique to the theatre space. While life can be rather spooky-scary at times with so many complexities along the way,  theatre offers us a space to put on a pair of butterfly wings (sometimes literally) and face those fears with bravery AND you get a silly crew cheering you on from the sidelines, what could be better than that? So basically if you want to be a butterfly, join the team!!
